Health & Research
WELCOME to the Old English Sheepdog online health resource. This area of the website is sponsored by the Old English Sheepdog Club of America's Health and Research Committee (OESCA HRC) for use by OES fanciers, breeders and owners alike.
While the Old English Sheepdog breed is a healthy breed, it is not without health concerns. By working with canine health professionals and OES breeders and owners, our goal is to protect and promote the health of all Old English Sheepdogs.
The information on this site is provided as an overview of breed health issues and concerns. It is important to emphasize that this information cannot replace a veterinarian's diagnosis or treatment. We are here to help you keep your OES as healthy and happy as possible. After all, there is no greater joy.
Should you need additional health information or assistance, contact a member of the OESCA Health and Research Committee. See our Members List for contact information.
All articles and canine health information have been approved for inclusion on this website by a licensed veterinarian and/or a canine health expert in his/her field of study. Health committee reports are submitted on a regular basis by the committee chair.
